Snoozer seems quite clumsy and silly sometimes. I mean at night when he's VERY active, he climbs up and hangs from the top of his cage (upside down) and will just let go. He's apparenty done it all his life as he did it at PetsMART. Also when I let him climb the outside of the cage, he falls off freqently.

Is he perhaps too heavy for his little feet to hold? Or maybe he is just overly-ambitious- tries out for extreme hamster sports when he should be sticking to low-impact, LOL? Be careful about him falling- hamsters can very easily break their backs or even a limb. Keep a good padding of bedding inside his cage to break his fall.

My hammy Charlie is always walking upside down on the top of the cage bars. (He just walks round in circles) The only problem is he always drops and i'm starting to get worried cos i'm afraid hes gonna hurt himself. I have made sure there is nothing in his landing area and that he has a thick layer of wood shavings but i'm still worried. :(

Hamsters have terrible eyesight and cannot see the ends of beds, tables and cages which is why they are often clumsy. They will walk off of the edge of almost anything if the owner isnt careful.
