I have a jack russle thats between 6-8 years old now i took her to the vet a month ago to get her shots an flea stuff. I know she is like allergic to the flea but my vet told me to be on a high fat diet so i put her on iams with alot of fat..But the thing she is still very red. They use to give her prednazone and a anti biotic an that would work till october then she would be fine..Should i tell the vet i need that again?
Also i have been gone abit and my mom is looking after her and the rest of my animals but my mom told me that when i leave my dog stays in her room in the garage and wont go in the house at alll.. my mom had to take some fod and water out there for her to..its as if she gets really sad and depressed when i leave and im leaving again in like 8 hours...i feel really sorry for my dog and i just want her to know ill be back later..Should i bring out one of my blankets that has my smell an lay it in my moms room...every since i got home 2 days ago shes like been right at my side...any advice?..sorry about the longness and everything

I don't know any vet that would ever reccomend a high fat diet. Iams is not a good brand of food, very bad actually...I think your dog has food allergies, probably to corn. You need to switch to a better food. Better foods don't have corn as the first ingredient. I would switch to chicken soup for the dog lovers soul or wellness..there are others.

As for leaving, I would do the blanket with your smell on it.. and make sure she stays inside!

My dog weighs 11 lbs for a jack russle...she is riped so much i find it disgusting myself...but one day a few months ago she got into a whole pizza and ate it all...an didnt gain a single pond...i was amazed at that but they kept telling me that if i didnt get her to weiegh abit they would do something about that...i really dont want to lose her..she eats when ever she wants, gets water anytime, she gets human food when she is able to take it...she just doesnt gain anything...i also got her from the spca when i was 15 and thats how we got her...ill get some good pics on saturday when i get back...i am leaving in 5 min....

When i got home yesterday my dog came running at me, she like wont leave me alone...i had to go and put her outside this morning casue im trying to clean my house and she would just follow me and i was afraid id step on her, i did spend all last night with her and she slept with me like normal. as for her food i will go looking around but my vet told me she should weigh more then 11 lbs...i really dont know how i will get her to weigh more for she is very active and runs outside when she goes outside. My mom did tell me that my dog has gotten really lazy, my moms in the garage and she has her own back door and my dog has a doggy door to come in and out of the house well my moms back door was open and my dog went in there and sat at the door to come inside and just sat there wanting in..the story is that my dog isnt using her doggy door anymore..how can i get her to use it again..its like since ive been gone shes like a lazy/lonley pup...i am trying to convince my mom to get another dog to keep my dog from being bored and haveing sumone here 24 7 to bug or sumthing..should i get her a friend or should i introduce her to some of my frineds that have dog...she doenst get along with dogs when shes on a walk but when they are at her place she loves it..i dont know why but she does.well sorry to make it sooooo long...

she is spayed yes and shes between 6-7
