A friend from work was talkin about her kittens being sick. She said that they are sneezing and the one had blood coming out of her nose. I told her to get them to a vet right away. She said that she had to wait for a day off to take them. I told her to call off and she looked at me like I was crazy. But does anyone know what it could be? She also said that she has been feeding them milk, if that has anything to do with it.

Sounds like an upper respiratory infection. When I found my kittens, they were all sneezing and had goopy eyes/blood coming from their noses. Have they been wormed? Worms can also cause URI-like symptoms. So basically, they need vet care.
I doubt the milk had anything to do with it, but if its cow's milk thats a big no-no. It can cause upset stomachs and runny stools, and just isn't good for them since cats can't digest dairy.

"I told her to call off and she looked at me like I was crazy"
Nice to see that she values them so much. But even if she has no moral or emotional attachment, the fact that denying them veterinary attention is illegal should hopefully shift her.

I've had many cats with UpperRespitory, but I never had any blood out of the nose. Tell her if she really cares she will get to the vet ASAP!!

this girl is dumb, she needs to get them to the vet ASAP! The clinic i work in has 3 stages of URI's the first one is the beginning of a URI, which isnt very bad but harmful none the less a level 2 is a middle call, where they've had it for a while and a level 3 is very startling, it has blood pouring out of the nose/mouth, the lungs are chewed up and spat out pretty bad and at this stage without treatment they will be close to death. Take them from her and get them some help, or call someone on her. They need help badly.

So I talked to her... shes said that she was going to the vet tomorrow... being monday. I really hope that they are ok. With her delaying the vet keeps me worried. Poor little kittens! I told her NOT to feed the kittens milk but she told me that they like it too much. Hopfully the vet will open her eyes up to what the real dangers are. I'll keep everybody posted.
Sorry I couldnt get back sooner... between works and my kids I have little time on the weekends.

UPDATE!!!
Well she went on vacation for a while so sorry it took so long to get back for an update. Well I asked her how they were doing and she said that she thinks that they grew out of their colds. She didnt take them to the vet or anything! I was so mad! But I wasnt about to fight with her cause I have to work with her everyday. She really is a good person but has no sence whatsoever. I told her that she SHOULD take them to the vet as a percaution and she simply said "Nah they'll be fine". DUMBY!

Well they need shots and worming anyway, so eventually she'll have to take them in.. unless she plans to adopt them out with no shots and full of worms (all kittens have worms).

Well as said they need to see a vet, if they are going to be strictly indoors the only shot you need is for rabies but it is highly recommended that she get all of them and de-worming them is very serious and needs to be done or else the kittens can die.
