Duck with broken leg.

One of our ducks has a broken leg! What do i do? Hes still eating and drinking, but he cant walk. Right now i have him indoors so that a predator wont get him.
Hes also covered in leaches because he was hiding under a stump in the water for 5 hours. How do i get rid of them???

To get rid of the leaches either touch them with a hot match or put salt on them. Or at least that how we get them off after we get them while playing in the crick. Try that and see it that helps!

The wildlife rehabber around here said she'd help us out. She has the duck right now, so hopefully she'll be able to help him. We'll find out tommorow whats going on.

Could you take him to a vet? A broken leg won't mend itself. I would have brought him to see a vet immediately. Is he a domestic duck or a wild duck?

Well, hes a little of both. He is a native species, but is kind of domesticated. They stay in the yard, and let us pick them up and pet them, ect.
This woman is going to fix the leg, then release him in the yard again.
