Ok, I am totally clueless to the whole horse breeds and what they're used for. I am more comfortable riding western and I was wondering, even if Dutch Friesians are classified as Draft/Working Horses, can you ride them and if so, can they be ridden in Western style?

Friesians are generally ridden English, and you'll see them most often in breed competitions and dressage; they also make very nice driving horses.
I am positive you could put a western saddle on it and ride it, but they are naturally BIG movers and about the farthest thing from what you would 'want' in a western horse.

Dont quote me on this but you can train any horse to ride western [that can be rode] cant you? They just need starting from scratch as if they're a youngster.
