I think you can try Aspen or Cedar, I am not sure though, as I use carefresh for my hammy ^^

What is carefresh? Is that stuff thats the color of egg cartons?

Yeah, carefresh is the color of egg cartons. Its what I use, and its really great!

Petco sells Carefresh Ultra now:cool2: It's only a small bag, though, and costs a little more than a regular size bag of Carefresh. Carefresh Ultra is white and is supopsedly less dusty than regular Carefresh.

I use softwood shavings for the floor of the cage and make sure the bedding is safe paper bedding not cotton wool or anything synthetic they can choke on wool bedding:D

Well I took out the bedding that I was using and am using ripped up paper towel until I can afford some good bedding. I'm doing a little work around the house so I can't afford it.
