Beautiful bird, you dont know if it is male or female? Well I have a yellow/greenish with a blue tail and black patches on its wings. I do not know if it is male or female yet because when they get to be about a year old the place on the the top of their beaks under neath their eyes will turn a redish color if a girl and a blueish color of a boy. Does your 'keet talk?

no he doesnt talk but he loves to whistle and squeak and fly around the room.

Are they supposed to like actually talk? I have heard that they do and that they dont. I know mine dont talk but he does squeek and whistle. when my cockatiel is talking the 'keet with freak out and practically scream at my 'tiel. What do i do?

really i have heard that they do not get along but i have a huge cage and all my birds in one cage at the moment and i have seen my parakeet and cockatiel grooming each other although they do have there squables once in a while nothing serious. i agree he looks like a male to me to :)

Sisco-I don't think it's such a good idea to mix different species, even if they do seem to get along, just not a good idea. You should probably seperate them.

pepper - ur parakeet is a male, the blue above his beak says it all.
