im hammie always sleeps in his plastic box.(with holes for air). and i always put shredded toilet paper. He loves that more then the carefresh bedding :) . he fills up the box with bedding and toilet papr and he looks very comfortable. anywayz i recently read from somewhere online that it is bad to change his nesting every everyday, like it can be disturbing to them. he eats and poops in there as well. so im wondering how often should i change it?

I'm anxious to see the answer to this question. My baby is the same way. I have been cleaning out the tp that has poo or old food on it and leaving the part that is relatively clean b/c I wasn't sure either.

I'd still change it on a regular basis, scoop it out once every 2 days, clean the whole cage and wash it out every week. It's good for them to have a clean cage. :)

i tend to clean out the stinky bits of the cage every couple of days... especially when it's warmer... so long as your hasmter is used to your scent and you dont wake them up to do it there shouldnt be any problems. just try and take out the soiled bits only and leave rest.

he wakes up instantly to any noise. kinda like me :) he seems to poop in his home but he comes outside to pee in a corner. seems like he potty trained himself :)
