I got him chinchilla bath sand as a sand bath, and he eats it and hoarded a lot into his cheek pouches. Is sand edible or should I take him to the vet?

My mice's cage came with potty litter & they ate some, they were fine... hopefully your's comes from a company that puts that in mind.

It's completely normal.

I don't think your hamster will actually eat this stuff. Lots of times they'll put things in their pouches to transport it elsewhere.

ew yea.. Peanut does this all the time with dirty bedding.
