My female hamster acts weired somtimes

Ok hi eveyone. Some times when I reach into snowballs cage to pick her up. She just freezes and stops moving the little part of her tail goes up and she just stands there not moving at all. Has anyone ever had a hamster that did this too? Why do they do it?

Yup. She's in heat. I assume she does it every 3-5 days, every 4 days being the most common. ;) She probably thinks your hand is a male.
