The White Dwarf: Akari [Pics]

So I was really bummed to go out a few days ago and realize the white dwarf I wanted had been taken. I was told new dwarves would be ready Friday.

So my boyfriend and I headed out this afternoon to see if a new white one had come in. Low and behold ... tada! A white girl with a grey patch on her head and a grey stripe going down her back.

She is just as tame as Shinsei was when I brought her home and also just as curious. She does not bite, she's very sweet, she's very curious. She managed to get up the side tube but I question whether she'll be able to get back down.

She is teeny tiny right now but Shinsei was the same when I got her and gained weight fast. She is with Shinsei right now but I don't think Shinsei has come down from her new Lazy Lookout to see her yet.

By the way, I sexed her myself. Lolz.

This is true. I should have quarantined. You got me, you did.

I guess I don't when I pick them up because I always get them from the same place and have never had an issue with their health. So I don't even think about it.

My goodness. She's totally gorgeous. Did you just put her in Shinsei's cage? Poor little thing will wake up and be like "Who the heck are you?!"

I went in last night because I knew Shinsei would be headed down to the main level to run on her wheel and get some food and water, and the little one just happened to be sleeping in one of the spots where Shinsei used to sleep. I admit I was paranoid at first thinking Shinsei would reject the tiny tot and take her down because Shinsei seems to enjoy having her home to herself.

When I went into the room I saw Akari climbing all over Shinsei. Climbing up her back and licking her ears and then Shinsei would turn over and the little one would slide off the side and then climb back on Shinsei. Then Shinsei would take her front paws and bring down Akari on her back and "pin" her. It was all playful, they were just having fun. I went to bed and checked in this morning. Akari was sound asleep in the Timber Hide-A-Way and Shinsei had reclaimed her nest under the wheel.

They did great and there are no injuries or problems to speak of. :)
