Hi all. This was last night, theres qwite abit ive wrote on another forum so i thought id copy and paste it:p

Hiya all.
Tonight as been a nightmare
I was sitting here on the pc and i heard alot of noise no squeaking just noise so i looked at the hammies and they were running around like mad,one was chasing the other.I said to my boyfriend babes qwick they are fighting,we tryed to stop them but it was so hard as they are so fast,we managed to get one and put her in her ball and her foot was bleeding i started to cry as i was worring so much, then checked the other she was fine.We left them alone and the blood stopped and they were just sittin there looking sad and loonly one in the ball and other in cage,i was in another forum asking for advice noone was there to help.Because they looked so lonely not doing anything we decided to put them together and again straight away started to fight, started panicing, trying to seperate them tock there cage lid off and one jumps out even worser she fell of the bed started crying trying to catch her,man they are so fast its unbelieveable well not now ive seen it.Manged to catch her put her in ball and that was about it but i was so scared and worried tonights been mad.We have got a really useful box its 35L so we have put carefresh and talilahs wheel and food and some bits in that for her,we will be leaving her in thats untill i get paid on wednesday then get a new cage.Is 35L big enough for one dwarf?
Tomorrow ill be getting a water bottle holder thing as tonight ill be up making sure she is ok with water and holding it for her to drink.
Tonight as been the worst day ever,
Its a shame they have to be seperated its broken my heart but to see them fight like that broke my heart.
Hopefully they will be fine alone and be happyier.

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear that! Sometimes hamsters just decide they'd rather live without a roomate, and unfortunately that sounds like what's happened with yours.

Hopefully they'll be happier alone. Is the hamster's foot okay?

You could have just put her water in a little dish, she would have found it eventually! But thats sweet that you held the bottle up for her :)

Sorry this has happened. Wow, you got a new cage quickly!

I'm sorry it happened but wtf, that's all I have to say, what is with people having to seperate their dwarfs..like they CAN live together but I hear from a lot of people that they needed to be seperated. I wouldn't buy anymore hamster from Pets @ Home, obviously there hamsters have some big brain defect or something, hell if I know but heck..I've housed colonies before and they all did FINE. I just dont know what the heck is going on with all these psychotic dwarfs.

I know, everyone's dwarves are being split up at the mo! Reason mine were is because I'd unknowingly got two Campbells and a WW and they couldn't co-habitate.

Anyway, I hope they do fantastically by themselves.

Like I said, maybe pets at home and other stores get it from the same breeders but I really notice that most have to be seperated. If oyu get them from a wlel known breeder they usually can live peacefully with each other. It's totally insane mine lived together peacefully except for a few squabbles. I just don't get it.. brain defects I tell ya..

Hiya,Not all hamsters are the same, they all have there own personalities and like said some grow to not enjoy each others company, and some may fight and just because there's blood we seperate them and then they look lonely, maybe they dont mean to harm each other who knows:ashamed:

Have you tried putting them back together? Maybe they just needed a break from one another for a bit and would be happy to see each other now that they've got that break?? I don't know, I'm far from an expert and I'm on my 1st dwarf and never had a pair but just thinking logically.

You could try putting them back together and pink just so you know I've had over 100 speicies of dwarfs and only 3 of mine had to be seperated in the time I had them!

I agree...as long as you're there to supervise, then there's no reason to be scared.

The reason why i get scared is because they are so fast and jumping like mad on each other its really hard to stop them,im going to leave them for a while as alot of people said leave them, let them settle alone and see if they change over a week,if not then try.:p

he longer you wait the most risk you pose to your hamster in putting them back together.

After stevie, which will probably 1 or 2 years into the future, I will probably get 2 dwarfs (probably both male Robo-Dwarfs and different tanks). And they can share their playtimes so they both get their own space, and if they look lonely I'll let them play more. I like the sharing playtimes Idea. It will probably reduce fighting.

Some do and some dont it depends.
Mine seem alot better and love having there own space and are much more active and looking better and happyier than when they were together.:D
