After my last post about Tugger vomiting all night Sunday, he hasn't eaten since and I'm becoming concerned. I called the vet and they want to see him...so we have an appointment in a little under 2 hours. I just don't get it. He's been to the vet more in the last 6 months than he has in years. I know I'm a good mommy and take good care of him, it's just been health problems...first thyroid (that took a few visits to get pinned down) then fleas (a total shock b/c he'd never had them before) and now his hips and he's still having skin problems that I'm gonna have him take a look at today. *sigh* He's only 6 years old...I didn't think that was old for a pug...maybe I'm wrong???

Tugger got a couple more tablets to take...one to settle his stomach and the other to stimulate his appetite. They also suggested stopping his other medication for a while since he's doing fine with his hip problems. He ate a little last night and has eaten this morning and is doing well. Whew! I hope we're finally done with being sick and needing vet treatment for a while. -doctor-

I'm glad Tugger's eating now, hopefully he'll be back to normal soon. I don't think six is old for a Pug either.

Im glad to hear he's doing better-where did you get him from? It might be worth contacting his breeder and letting her know about his issues

I got a call today with the result of his blood work. He's got an elevated white blood cell count so he's got some kind of an infection...I'm betting it's his skin. So I'm going to go pick up an antibiotic as soon as my daughter wakes up from her nap and get him started on it right away. Other than that, everything else was normal so I think it was probly the medication that was making him sick.
As far as the breeder, I have no idea how to contact them. I don't even remember their name. I had contacted several people who advertised in the paper and was going to get one from a woman that sounded to me to be the best from the people I had met. Turns out her puppies got very sick and they all had to be euthanized (very sad :() But she recommended me to someone else and we picked him up the next day. So, it was such a quick thing that I never really retained any info on who they were and I never intended on breeding him so I didn't keep any of his papers.
