I need information on PBP

Hi i am new and i need to know anything about pot bellied pig's how do you treat your pig's? What do you feed your pig's? Do they act up? If so what do they do? What is rooting? Where do you find a litter box big enough for a pig? You can't use a cat litter box can you? That would be to small... Is there a such thing as a pig sunscreen? What if there are flea's outside can my pig catch flea's? Will it die? How do i get rid of the flea's? Oh what are ear mite's? How do i clean my pig's ear's? What is fileing your pig's hoofe? What do you use? Where would i find a pig harness? Can he get out of it? Can pig's get along with snake's? Lizard's or Cat's?

look up ear mites on the net. you would clean the ears out with a wet cloth. you get the hooves trimmed by a vet. on of the sites i gave you actually sells pig harnesses (not sure which one though you will have to check) just like with any animal, it can get along with other animals but their is no guarantee. pbp's take a good bit of work and time. they are more work than a dog or cat would be.

i have a cat and a snake and a lizard and i stay home all day everyday except for the weekend's but i don't go out very much that's why i want a pig it will be like a hobbie and if it get's along with all my other pet's then that's a huge bonus... do you have to have a permit or license to own a pot bellied pig? Um are they legal in canada? Can i feed them milk in a bottle like feeding a baby calf or will that hurt them? How do i know what pig to buy i want to wait til i find the right one but what if what if its sick how do i find out the symtom's and i am still writing stuff out fromt he site's you gave me thank you so much but i need so much more then this my dad's as strict as a snake snake's are actully cool but ya know?

Owning a pet is not a hobby, it is a job, and you have to love your job very much. I hope that you misworded that phrase.

absolutly i didn't misword it i just think you thought i ment it in a wrong way i mean i will love this pig its a hobbie but a pet and yes i love them very much i don't pay attention to my pet's enough i barly even see them take them out or talk to them i can't get a pig til another year and a half but my dad say's i need to raise my leval's in responsibility and i agree i have to weather i have stress or not i have to push my stress life out and my pet life in its just like school i have to raise my grade leval's except i don't go to school so... ya so i love my job! As a parent to my pet's and my responsibility!

Okay I understand what you are saying, but a hobby is something that you can do on a whim. Putting together toy planes, knitting, collecting coins. Not raising and taking care of an animal. I still think that you are using the word 'hobby' in the wrong context.

Ok, I am trying to do the best i can, This isn't a teaching school on how to use puncuation you know... Well um what i am trying to say is, I would love this pig as a pet, But there are time's when it would be like my hobbie... Like to keep me off of drug's... Because i will be looking after my pet's all day do you see what i mean? Its a hobbie to keep me out of trouble and its a pet for me to love :)

Like I said, I do understand!! I am not trying to be rude, or anything like that. I am just informing that using that word in the wrong context can get you in a lot of trouble here. I think that if you are able to take care of this animal then GREAT!!! Especially if it helps you stay off drugs, and other addictions.

and i dont mean to be rude about the punctuation either dont you think it is hard to read this if you dont have any stops or places to slow down i know that i am not the only one on here that has mentioned it to you

animals are not hobbies. also they are a very big and long term commitment. i honestly don't think you are old enough to properly handle the responsibility. if you are handling the animals you have then fine, but I don't think you should get any more pets for now. take some time to grow up and have fun being a kid. in a few years you will want to be running around alot with friends and wont have as much time for your animals. dont get something you will end up neglecting or something. pbp's are not pets for kids anyway. they take a lot of care and training and need a dominant owner.

yes i relize that pot bellied pig's aren't something you feed give water to and just put them to sleep i am not getting one til i turn 13 anyway and i am starting to study know i am 11 anyway's and yes i do need to kick up my responsibility leval and i don't go outside that's why i don't hang out with friend's duh why don't you think i don't go to school?

that's why i want a pet like a hobbie ya know a pig will take me outside and basically take me for walk's just as much as i talk him/her for walk's but it will alway's be my pet inside it will sit with me on the couch it will sleep in my big room with its own bed

You shouldn't worry about your period when you go out, just make sure you have lots of womanly supplies, and even I always bring something that I can wrap around my waist. And I've been a 'woman' for the last 13 years. The best thing you can do is just do it and get it over with.

Do you have a friends mom, or neighbor, or aunt?? Since it seems like your mom isn't in the pic??? You can give them $5 or so, once a month and they can grab an extra pack for you.

In canada are pig's illegal? What is getting them registered? How do i get my pig spayed if the vet is 5 hour's away? Can i get a young spayed pig? How much do they cost? What is zoned?
