HELP- Gerbil fell down onto hard floor from my hand. Now his paw is messed!

He just sliiped out of my hand! He landed kind of on his left side, and now his left paw can't move properly! =( It kind of quivers when he tries to move it. He acts normal though. Isn't squeaking or licking/biting the paw. What do you think is wrong?! I really hope it gets better!

UPDATE- Yeah, he's still hurt, only using three legs to walk and is starting to nudge his hurt paw. Is taking him to a vet nessasary? Because I hear gerbils are great healers. Gah I feel SO bad i wish I could have held onto him tighter. :crybucket

I'm not sure. I think if he doesn't start to improve in the next day or two take him to the vet.

I took him to the vet, but he told me the only thing I could do is wait for it to heal on it's own. :( I think he's getting better though. He's sleeping a lot though

Thats good. I hope he gets better soon. Make sure his food and water are right by the place he sleeps so he doesn't have to move much.

Next time no matter what it is bring him to the Vets IMEDIATLY hope he gets better though
