Well, I have been thinking about getting a pair of sugar gliders. But I was wondering if anybody had any ideas for a cheaper cage(good ones, that are safe for gliders, easy to clean, and well, of course, cheaper than the average cage). So any ideas will be helpful, no matter how much work will go into it :) Pictures would be helpfull too!

You could always build your own. I almost did that but my pair came with their cage.
I don't know if you have the ability to order from online but I also seriously considered buying this cage (http://cgi.ebay.com/Bird-Ferret-Sugar-Glider-Chinchilla-Flight-Cage-cages_W0QQitemZ270028619604QQihZ017QQcategoryZ3211 QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem). It is plenty big for a pair of gliders and is really cheap! Lots of GC members have this cage.

the thing is with getting cages online, is the shipping is soo much. at least the places ive looked. the cages will be really cheap, then the shipping will be very expensive. but if you know a place with cheap cages & shipping, let me know!

SunCoast cages are WAY too expensive. The cage I linked had free shipping with it. Look around eBay, you can find good deals.
The cage I linked was from JM Exotics.

But they're EXPENSIVE.
She stated very clearly that she isn't interested in spending $400 on a cage and another $200 for shipping. Those cages are ridiculously pricey.

oh, i didnt see the free shipping :]
what do you think would be better and/or cheaper? a homemade cage, or a store bought one?

Depends. As long as you are ready to put the effort into it you can make a fantastic cage yourself that far surpasses any store-bought cage.
I have seen some amazing homemade cages. You can also utilize the space you have the way you want rather than have to make the space for the store-bought cage. You can also make it as big as you want for a fraction of what you would spend on a cage its size from a vendor.
However, some people just do not have the time and/or handy skills it takes to make a cage.

*sigh*
You have not answered the O.P.'s question therefore your input is useless and you should shut up. She asked where she can find cages for CHEAP.
Just because she doesn't want to spend $600 on a cage doesn't mean she will not love her gliders. It means she is living on a budget [like many of us] and needs to find something that is of good quality for a more reasonable price.
We are not all "perfect" like you so if you want to flounce like you are please take it somewhere else.
She can find what she needs with some help and some actual effort [something you know nothing about] and I'm sure her cage will be a thousand times better than yours and packed with more love than you can imagine ... so cork it.

ok whatever make sure she takes into account safe coated cages products as well as spacing an edging, slide out grates an trays are best for bottoms shed prob prefer long bars instead of those dumb cubed wire to, go to home depo or lowes there very help full if you sketch out a rough pic of what your looking for with dementions have a nice day or evening.

On ebay u can get a 30"Long X 18" deep X 55" Tall cage for $97 and that includes shipping.
Here is the cage, I bought one and my glider loves it, it comes with 6 perches, 6 food dishes, and it has a slide out bottom tray AND wheels/stand.
