Hi my plecko has changes colours he has gained lighter brown patterns that look like camoflaug and his belly is white.
I have recently set up a new tank here is what I have done.
(from a 10 gal to a tall 25 gal)
After cleaning the tank with hot water I moved water from my old tank to the new one along with the rocks and plants.a week later I changed the filter to a fluval 104 and added more gravel.
3 weeks later I moved the fish with more water from the old tank.
I have tested the water and it matches that of the old tank.
All of the other fish seem fine except for a little zebra that insists on hiding behind the filter return.
Anyone know what is happening to my fish? The plecko seems fine other than the colour change.
Do pleckos change colour to match there environment?
Could it be the light change from incandescent to flouresent?
Is there not enough air in the water do I need a air pump?
