I hope someone has some advice for my poor little cat. He thinks his tail is the devil and he tries to attack it. At first it was funny becase it was like one of those cartoon clips with an animal chasing it's tail and then growling and hissing b/c it hurts when he bites.... but it has gotten alot worse, and I'm definitley not finding any of it funny. The vets thinks it's just stress.... which he has had alot of lately. About 2 months ago the pound picked him up and he spent the night in jail. While he was in there he caught upper respiratory disease from a neighbouring cell mate. Since then he hasn't been the same. He got over the upper respiratory, but that was when this tail fettish has come along. Unfortunately he actually caught it once when he was outsde so i wasn't able to stop him from going to town on it. For the last 3 weeks he has now been in a cone so he can't see his tail. The wounds on his tail has healed, so that shouldn't be what is causing him to act crazy. We went to the vet for the 4th time yesterday and he dcided that Orca should go on "Kitty Prozac" to help him calm down. It's only been a day... and maybe it's from the stress of the vet... but in my mind.. the agitation has gotten worse.
