I need help! I need an idea to get me started on figuring out a science fair topic. I would like to to something with my rats and I'm not interested in mazes. Could someone give me some ideas to help get me started?

somthing to do with food.

see witch foods it eats in a day, see what kinds of food it eats the most of, or see if it likes more expencive foods better.

i mean how much food it eats in a day. i did the average amount of food a day and got 98%. it doesn't really matter how good of an experimnt you do, it matters how good you can comprehend and how good your conclusion is and how much time you spend on your project.

only about 20% of your grade (at most) is based on your experiment.

I would try something and see if it affects their energy levels and their coats. e.g. putting vitamins in their food/water, changing their food, bathing them in different shampoos/soaps.

if you need to modle something, you could make a thing that converts running into energy. if you need to do a teast with variables, you could see if temperatures change anything (like do the run more/faster when it's colder or hotter, and see what the exact temps they run fastest and the exact temp they run most.) like what i did with my hampster the year before last and get a bicycle meter and hook it up to the wheel (the wheel is probably not the right high so just do half or what the instuctions say and then when you get your result, duble it.)
