Bradley is a dachshund mix.

Peanut and Charlotte are rat terrier mixes

Bjorn is a chihuahua and possible cocker spaniel mix.

Just because a vet thinks he is a chihuahua really means nothing. Vets are not experts on dog breeds...they don't learn that in vet school. And you don't KNOW that he is a purebred, but I personally can tell he is not (Along with everyone else here) because he looks MORE Rat terrier than he does chihuahua. I have rat terrier mixes, and have looked a lot online at rat terrier pictures. But you can go ahead and keep calling him a Chihuahua.

I just went through and looked at rat terrier pics and he looks nothing like a rat terrier. Just because he is dark chocolate and white doesn't mean he is a rat terrier... thats the only thing that makes him resemble a rat terrier is his markings.

His personality is all Chihuahua. He has a curled tail like a Chi and he only weighs around 5lbs. Every pic and all information that I read about chihuahuas is describing Dante, he is exactly the same as a chihuahua and the same goes for his features. Just because he isn't a standard chihuahua color doesn't mean he isn't a chi.

Well Dante may not be a full Chi but I love him anywas, his mom was 100% chi I can tell by how she looked but his dad looks just the same as Dante so I have no clue. Dantes mom and dad were both AKC and CKC registered (I know CKC means nothing cause anyone can register but what about AKC?).


He was really cheap and honestly I can say his mom was a Chihuahua 100% but his dad looked almost exactly like Dante with a few differences.


You got him from backyard breeder cheetah.. you cannot tell me you know what breed he is. Even if you did see his parents. You say now that he is a Chihuahua... and you also said his mother was 100% Chihuahua.. so I wonder what she really was. It doesn't matter that he is a mixed breed Cheetah, but you seem to care too much! You want to brag about "Oh, i bought a purebred chihuahua!!"..but hes not. And pretty much everyone has to agree he looks like a rat terrier mix.

Who really cares if he's a mutt or not-you're the one who paid money for a mutt. It doesn't make him less lovable or a bad dog. According to your numerous threads, his parents were never CKC or AKC registered. If it was even a halfway responsible breeder, they would NEVER EVER advertise in a newspaper and certainly let you take the dog home that day

Dexter is either a black German shep, a Belgum shep, or a german shep/lab mix. He was found wandering around the battlefield. He came to us already fixed, housebroken, socialized, and trained, but we think that his previous owners beat him because he was very submissive and only had one bad habbit (knocking over the trash when we left him home alone all day, we think he had abandoment issues)

He is, by all standards, less of a Chihuahua than the dog that you are talking about, has no papers, no idea what kind of dog he is, but he is the best dog out there.

I don't care if Dante is or isn't either but everything I am reading about Chi's and how they look etc suggests that Dante IS a Chi. There is a purebred Chi that lives here in the complex and he is younger than Dante but has the exact same markings and looks EXACTLY like Dante and he is AKC registered, thats what makes me think he is purebred. I will try and get pics of the other dog sometime. Now I thought AKC registration meant purebred. I mean Dante looks JUST like this Dog same colors and everything except this dog has more of the chocolate and isn't as cute as my Dante hehe but they look the same.

Actually, Akc registration doesn't automatically make a dog a purebred. People use other dogs papers all the time to register mixed breeds. Akc doesn't come out and check to make sure the papers are going to dogs of that breed..they trust the people. My grandma got a "dachshund" from a breeder, and was given AKC papers stating she was registered..she turned out to be a mix.

So where exactly did you get Dante from then? And any responsible breeder would give you copies of the parent's registrations, health tests, etc, along with a pedigree for the puppy. There is absolutely no way that dog is purebred Chi-sorry!

This one girl says that she has a ...chi...chiwa...(i cant spell it...) a taco bell dog and the other insists that the dog is a rat terrior mixed with a taco bell dog. I don't know why it is so important to them, it sounds like it is a fight that they have had before. (I figured i'd give you a quick answer)
