This time I am the one who made the mistake and Clarice is a boy. *sigh*
He is in his own bin now with just a few things until I get him better setup. I can't win.
I'm going to be on the lookout for friends for both Gadget and my new boy, whom I have renamed Monterey Jack, or Monty for short.
I'll be a lot more careful next time. Gr. Now I'm angry at myself. Oh well. I still love them both dearly.
Hopefully there be no babies on the way.

wow, we all make these mistakes, don't we? my friend just realized her hamster is indeed a boy... a boy named daphnee! lol... i was actually the one who found out it was a boy... and i couldn't believe she didn't know it was, because it was a full-grown Syrian! wow... anyway, hope there's no babies, but if there are, I'm sure you can handle it.. and hey, it's an excuse for more hamsters! :D :hamster1: :hamster2:

Thanks, guys. Since they weren't together that long then I may be in luck. I was looking and saw him from the back and my first thought was, "Oh no ... hamster testicles." Lolz!
Well, they're separated now and what's done is done. I'll manage if they do have babies. I do have a LOT of experience with breeding hamsters and what I can and cannot do so I'm not too fearful. I'll just do a research refresher course and take it as it comes.
If there are babies, then I'll just separate them appropriately and Gadget and Monty won't be alone! Hahaha!
I just wish I had been more careful. That's okay, though. Just like my last scare, I'll keep any babies born because it's my duty as a hammy mommy and I know I can handle it. I have the willpower to make anything work.
Thanks for the support! I'll keep you updated!

Oh my word! I have not had any experience with dwarves, it must be more difficult to tell their sex than with Syrians!
I hope that it all works out, even if they do have babies, I guess it was just meant to be:-)

Wow, a boy! I think that boy hamsters are more fun than girls! I don't know why, i just think so! And they were too little time together! I don't think they did something... wrong! And where did you get the inspiration for his name? It is great!

Uh oh! Hahaha, that's funny! lol, but don't get too down on yourself, it's sometimes hard to tell the differences! I have no doubt thought you will be able to handle any "others" that come! ;)
BTW, what a cute name! Love it! :)

Well their names were based off of the girls that Chip & Dale fell in love with in the Donald Duck cartoons [Clarice] and the Rescue Rangers series [Gadget]. Since my Lovebirds are named Chip & Dale [thank you Mistwraith], I decided that I would name him after the fat mouse in the Rescue Rangers series that is obsessed with cheese [note the name Monetery Jack, it is a type of cheese]. ^_^
So that is what I named him. Monterey Jack, a.k.a. Monty.

Haha, I love that movie!! Most of my animals have names based off of movies, so it's cool to know that someone else does too! :D
