Today has been the best day ever!

I just got a new job as a Pet Nurse at a veterinary clinic which is my dream job! I am basically a Vet tech... they are the same thing but they just call it a Pet Nurse. Anywas I start next week and I just got the call today that I got the job hehe. Whats really neat is that after I am there for 90 days I get to put 3 of my pets on the basic wellness plan which includes: - All of this is FREE
Fecal
Vaccines
Blood work to check and make sure all oragans are functioning properly
All exams - dental, etc
Heartworm/Lyme test
Annual exams
Annual Deworming
And much much more!!!!

And for only $8 a month I can upgrade to the Basic plus plan which includes everything in the Basic plan PLUS free dental cleanings, urine exams, liver/kidney screen, diabetes screen, and tons more hehe

I am so excited because both cats need their teeth cleaned and both cats and Zoe are going to need their vaccines in about 90 days so it will all work out.

Dante is still young so I am not worried about him yet and its cheaper to pay for ONE dog than 4 animals :)

I am just so excited hehe I can't wait to start.

On Saturday I am going in to observe for a few hours... oooh and in case you are wondering I will be working for Banfeild which is the vet clinic in petsmart... man its going to be dangerous for me to be working in a petsmart lol We also get 15% off at petsmart so thats dangerous for me since I LOVE to shop for my animals hehe

congrats on the new job. I work at Petsmart as a dog groomer and yes the 15% discount is nice espically when you have a lot of pets like me :) Good Luck :)

That's awsome.. I will probably be working at petsmart when I turn 16, I will love the discounts and free training;) but I won't be buying food there(I'm switching the dogs to wellness or innova EVO next year).. And I WILL NOT use the vet, after we had just adopted Sally we took her there for a heart worm test. They told us that it would be a $35 flat fee. we got there and sat down, and Sally was going CRAZY because she had not been socialized.. We waited for 30 minuets, and the vet gave her a 2 minute exam then.. We had to pay $75(including 1 $7 heartworm pill):angry: The day after they called to check on Sally, the man wanted to know how we liked their office.. Mom said that was fine but that next time someone calls to ask how much the test is they might want to tell them how much they are really going to charge. They were also treating a dog with parvo before Sally went in the room, they didn't even sanitize the table... I like out vet much better, they know that Tessa doesn't like new dogs so as soon as we walk it they have a room ready. Our vet also gives a thero exam and asks questions about her.. Sally needs to get her shots in April, and we are taking her to our vet.. Skip to if we adopt him

Yeah I can understand that.

I am so glad they are not like that where I will be working. They work hard to make sure that all the animals are safe and that the clients are happy. It just seems like it will be so much fun to work for Banfield because if I ever move back to WA state I can just transfer.

This is just the perfect job for me and its what I have always wanted to do. I loved being a Kennel Assistant but this is so much more involved so I can not wait!

I dont buy pet food from petsmart except for zupreem and 8 in 1 ultimate for my ferrets. I will use my discount for mainly toys, treats, and chewys for the pets.

Man its going to be hard to say no if a dog/cat comes in and needs a new home cause the owners cant pay for treatment lol
