madison, wisconson - parakeet home needed

Hi, I am looking to give my three year old, male parakeet a better home. I've taken in quite a few rodents and am sad to say I really just don't have the time or personality required in taking on a bird. He was abused as a baby and isn't very tame. I am looking for someone who has either owned birds previously or has spent alot of time in shelters. Ravenclaw is a wonderful animal I'm just not in a position to give him the care he deserves. The bird is free and comes with a cage and excessories. Thanx for your time.
