Well, I've noticed a few worrying things about Currently Nameless. A few times now When I stick her on my bed she hops to and fro instead of scurrying. Well, it's not really a hop...it's like her fron t legs are scurrying and her hind legs push or something... I'm hoping it's just becuase of the folds in my bedsheeta and not a spine or ear issue or something. Also just now I was watching her run around on the computer desk and she stopped to eat something. Except she did it while sitting on something so she listed sideways and her legs were splayed to her front and sides (Back legs, that is) but she didn't seem to notice she was listing sideways. I had to put my hand near her in case she fell.

Is this a prelude to a spinal or ear infection or something????

Something is seriously wrong with currently Nameless. SAhe can't awlk properly. her hipbones are all sunken or soemthing. She's eating and stuff. I don't know if she's drtinking bt her water bottle is fine. She's being all lethargic and just resting in between everything. i thin kshe's losing control of her hind legs. Is a hump back normal becuase she has it and I thought it was?? it might be dehydration fo some reason but I don't know!!

there's something wrong with her spine. Its all humpy in the middle and she still has trouble walking, she keeps falling over. She's lethargic...i don't know what to do!!!

Should I move her to a different cage, maybe a smaller one with no ladders or wheel to keep her safe?

I'm soprry i dont really know that much about dwarves.. i'm a syrain mom lol

taking her into a one level cage would probably help yes, but she really needs a vet. there's a number of issues that could cause this problem, including some like hernias and slipped discs that can be treated relatively easiliy.

letus know how shes gets on x

My gramma thinks it's useless to take a hamster to a vet and my parents are in europe....

Well, I woke up... My gramma told me to get off becuase it was late... then she said wait it out but I wanted a vet so bad!! Currently Nameless just sat there when I took her out this morning. She would wiggle her nose.. stop then wiggle again. Then she started moving and I was so thankful she wasn't completely paralyzed. I let her walk around and she's trembling and her back legs are'nt moving properly an she keeps falling over. I still don't know if the hump is normal or not but It's still there. She's just so lethargic and I hope she's not in pain.

I did get her to have water tho. I put the pippette thingy inside her mouth and squeezed water in slowly. i don't know if I should be happy she drank or worried she doesn't have the energy to move her head anymore. She barely woke up at a ll this time and I don't think she could uncurl herself. My gramma offered to give her more water, which I'm grateful for 'cause my parents would have never offered. When I get home I'm going to mash up some food and see if she'll eat it. i also took out the second level, her home, and her toys so all that's left is the wheel (On the other end of the cage) and her food and water. I put her in hwer food dish becuase I don't tbhink she could move to eat. Her water is just above her head as well.

Well, Gramma insists it's indeigestion. I can't believe she would think that!!! If it was indigestion Currently Nameless would wake up, bite me, then go back to bed. Not stagger around and go all lethargic!!! Argh! I'm going to have to call the vet myself when I get home!!

Well, Currently Nameless passed away . and all becuase my stupid gramma wouldn't take me to the vets! I had to watch my own hamster die a slow and hopefully not painless death right in front of me! I really wish I could drive! Then none of this would have happened and Currently Nameless wouldn't be resting beside her cagemate, Ginger Bear!

....rant over. I would like to remember Currently Nameless as a hamster that would always come to the front of the cage and climb the bars, begging to be let out whenever I walked into the room. The hamster that never went on her wheel in the night, but instead during the day for some reason. The one always trying to take everything away for nesting material, whether it be attached to something or not.

Goodbye Currently Nameless....I'll miss you.

And both falling off things.... That was Ginger bear's thing but Currently Nameless picked it up after Ginger Bear died. it must be a dwarf hamster thing...

Putting nameless to sleep was a good idea because you really can't tell what nameless was feeling (mostlikely was pain or suffering). That was a great idea. But are you getting new animals??

Well, CheeChee17, i won't be getting more hamsters if that's what you're asking..... If you look in my sig there's a list of animals i plan on getting.
