My european black hamster has his ears flat against his head, is this normal for his breed??? Also they seem a little dry and crusty on the outside but the inside is fine.
what should i do???
Otherwise he seems fine, active (very), eating and pooping just fine.
Please help because i am worried.

hey! I am new as well but I really don't know about the ears. Maybe he has an illness or maybe he was born with his ears like that. But please keep posting and keep in touch

First of all "European/black bear hamster" is just a fancy name for Syrian hamsters, and no, its not normal for them to hold their ears flat. Does it only happen when he just wakes up? If not, it may be time for a vet visit.

I'd suggest visiting a vet. He could have fleas, mites an ear infection or something else wrong with him.
