She was left at the petstore's doorstep.. they in return were giving her away, since they don't have money to supply animals that they didn't order.
A woman was at the side of the counter where she was at... She asked, "Is she for free?" the employee said yes. She asked, "Is this all she needs?" the employee said yes. She said, "Well good, I don't feel like spending money on it anymore".
...this syrian was in a CRITTER TRAIL TRAVEL CAGE.
And the woman was gonna buy it and leave it as is...
I offered the employee $5 and stated how I had a 10gallon at home, a wheel, aspen bedding, REAL food, and a non-leaky water bottle, and a larger cage when she gets older/bigger.
I really don't mind buying it away from a child... I mean, if you want to set an influence for your kid, MAKE IT A GOOD ONE. This hamster is a living thing, not a decoration, that I'm probably sure the woman was scared to death if she had to touch her.
Anyways... Compared to my 3 year old syrian Peanut.. she is SOOOOOOOOO active! I sneezed and she flew from one side of the tank to the other... lol.... oops.
I've also never seen a hamster burrow before.. going under the bedding & travel around the cage. Never seen it!
Anyways... here is a picture, and if anyone can suggest a name, go for it! I thought of 'snowflake' when I first saw her, but I'm not sure if fits her personality.

She kinda looks pregnant when she flexes her stomach... I dunno, but we'll see!
