yeah I think I spoile her and she only wants to eat from my hand...plus those wax worms she can't get enough of which I don't give often cause they are so fatty. She is hard to get to eat anything else when she knows I have wax worms lol

She is usually in the water so I feed her rosey reds (or tuffy's they are also called) crickets when she is out of the water, but they seem to drown before she gets them. I sometimes put mealworms in a dish, but she likes it when I feed it to her =)

she isn't that big, just really fat ha ha. She is about as big as my hand counting the tail. I had her for a really long time. She also eats black worms, but they are hard to find around me. i only know one store almost an hour away that sells them...lus they stink and have to be kept in the fridge and the water changed~yuck lol~

I changed the decor around now though, but this is what it looks like for the most part. I loved it when I had the live plants in it~so cool, but the plants got too tall so I had to take them out and I didn't replace them.

just an added thought. I am not a big fan of the stone. I had a smaller firebelly newt that swallowed on and died =( very sad, but there isn't really much you can do att hat point. She hasn't swallowed any stones that I know of so I haven't changed it...I don't know what other types of substrate to use anyways...plus it is easy to clean. I thought I should mention it incase you were thinking about doing a set-up of your own.

whoa! i didn't know you all posted lol =) I have done more research and found out (with help =) that is is a Iberian ribbed newt aka sharp ribbed newt. I found out that I need to do some changes to the set up =) I am making the water deeper and adding a small shelf for land on top of the (land now) so it will have 8 inches on the deep end and 4 inches on the (dry now) part. so I will post more pics later =) Also, she is use to live foods, but I read tht it will bloat her. I have had her for many years and she is still kick'n lol but I am going to try pellets and frozen foods...I would get the live blood (black worms but the only pace is an hour away so it sin't going to be routine thing =) I really wish I found this out earlier. The pet stores are so messed up ya know selling them with strange made up names...but at least I know now and I take the blame for not finding out sooner =( well I can make it right! Thanks so much for the coments and I will post again soon!
