I was thinking that it would be really cool if there was a place to go and "Build" an aquarium online. My vision is of a picture of several types of tanks that people would have and then have proportional pictures of all the different types of fish, plants, and other decor that you could put "in" the tank picture, you follow. In my mind it is similar to certain video games where you create a character, but this time it is with a fish tank. Or do they already have such a thing?

I'll have to ask my computer geek buddies to create me a program like this.

I'm not thinking of a game, per se. I am just thinking about virtual imaging pretty much, where you have this base tank and you can arrange proportional images of the specific fish and of specific decor and so forth so you can fiddle with the look before deciding what you want. Kind of similar to a blueprint of your yard when you are deciding where to plant trees or put a garden, or when you(or me to be exact) were playing with your little horse figurines and creating your dream barn and fields.

But dude. A sim fish game would be awesome. Did anyone here ever play sim ant. That game was the best.

Ooo...a tank designer is a neat idea... i think I may have run across something like that once... don't remember where or when though.

And I played Sim Ant! such a long time ago... I've tried to find a version of it somewhere that I can run on this computer, but no luck :(

hmmm...all I can think of would be to play around in either Pro/DESKTOP or Photoshop. Even PowerPoint might work :rolleyes: .

I had a virtual aquarium a long time ago. You could pick which fish went in it, plants, decos, etc. You even had to do water changes and stuff on it all the time or all your fish would die! It was very real. I haven't been able to find another one like it. :(

Paper and some colored pencils! :D Just kidding :) That would be neat... I'm trying to decide how to decorate my 20 gallon tank, and a virtual aquarium designer would be very helpful right now.
