They're looking really good, though. Did you think about getting some actual plants, btw? Like...easy ones :p

Yeah, well, they didn't in my tank lol Bad news, the pot won't fit in the darn tank! The stupid support board is in the way. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The support board over the top of the tank makes the hole too small to put the pot in. Dad needs to replace the support board and when he cuts it off I will put in his pot. Poor fishie, he's been neurotic when the light first goes on since the light was fixed.

lol, ok. hmmm...*thinks*, have you got any rocks that you could build a cave out of?

Yes! you could get some biggish smooth flat stones and glue them together with aquarium sealant to make him a cave:)
I was looking at picture 4 of US stuck on the glass, and I realised what a great tattoo he would make!!!!

try breaking the pot in half down the center.
if its so big now that it wont fit in the tank, it will be too exposed for him anyway. if it were me, i'd break it in half and just set it on top of the gravel, that way it would be lower to the ground and provide more cover for him anyway.

How the heck do you safely break it in half down the center?? Mom suggested it yesterday but we don't know how to go about it.

LOL Dad has a nasty cold and right now all he is doing is whining. Anyone ever broke one on purpose and have some ideas?

hmm, maybe scoring it with a utility knife first and then tapping it with a hammer...?
btw, I have never broken one on purpose, aside from smashing them to use in the bottom of other pots... but I don't think that counts for this purpose.
