Well it all started when my little girl turned two she saw a fish tank at a friends house and wanted one! So I bought her a 10 gallon tank. then she wanted a bigger tank!
so I bout a 75 gallon tank. Now we set the tank up and let it run for three days.I used gravel from the ten gallon tank as well as the filter I also bought a fluval 404 and let that run. I put the pictus catfish from the ten into the tank as well as some bloodfin tetras and a gouromie. they were fine three days later I bought 5 blood tetras and put them in. they were fine water was clear. then three days later i bought five african cichlids and put them in. still fine water still clear. five days later i bought two jellybean fish. by the way all fish came from the same store not a swamp tank system and from many people in the area a good fish store. now two days after putting in the jellybean fish I have cloudy water! I feed once a day not more then the fish can eat in two minutes.and i have live plants swords,Grass, lilly pads and frog plant. checked ph fine checked amonia fine.
can anyone help me with this problem?

Well i'm not sure but a good cleaning might be needed. Make sure your filter is clean and in working order. Then take out about a third of the water and refill. Sometimes i have found with adding fish so fast and at different times can cause the water to get all kinds of different stuff in it. Since the fish in the pet store are in different tanks the water will have a lot of different things in it. Some fish have different eating habits and such. I hope this helps.

If you added the contents of the 10 gallon into the 75 then you made a wise decision. Doing that you forced the process of cycling to happen faster than normal.

The cloudiness should go away by itself. I warn you it might take some time. Anywhere between 2 - 6 weeks.

I would avoid adding any more fish and if possible try not to use chemicals. When all said and done your tank shoudl end up crystal clear.
