Pooingcavy, have you taken your current pigs to the vets yet? If you won't even take the ones you have do you really think it would be responisble for you to take another pig?

Pooing Cavy, after asking me to send you Advantage because you nor your parents could afford vet care to take care of the lice your pig had, I cant believe you want another. You better get more responsible before thinking about this!
I remember asking you on MSN what would you do if I dont send you the Advantage, you said, I dont know....this is not responsible...I have the conversation saved...

Hi PooingCavy, I have never had him in with other boy's just his girl's. No he does not come with the cage as I still need it for his girl and daughter's. I have 6 pigs and he is the only male so I do still need the cage. And I would like to make sure that he goes to a good home that can take care of him the right way. Not trying to be mean but after reading some of the stuff you have post already I am going to have to pass and wait for the next person that might want him.

shouldn't thay have been seperated(your one male and the females) before? now all your females might be pregnant..

He's cute, but I already have 5 Abys and 1 Aby Satin, 5 Americans, 3 American Satins, 2 Coronets, and 6 Peruvians. And I don't live in Texas.
Hope you can adopt him to someone good soon.

You really need to seperate him! If you are having such a hard time rehoming ONE male, what are you going to do when you have to rehome the babies the female pigs WILL have? Why they are still together?
Its very irresponsible to keep a male with females and keep allowing them to get pregnant. Probably too young too.
Unless he is neutered, then sorry...but I doubt he is. ;).
Seperate him immedietly, so when the females have babies, he won't impregnate them right away.

I saw your profile, and you said you're a hobby breeder, what animals do you breed?
You really should seperate them. There are already enough cavies, and I doubt you are trying to improve the Aby breed or whatnot. It's hard enough to rehome show quality cavies and even harder to rehome pet pigs, because they are so many of them!
Good lucky with rehoming him though... not that easy... Where did you even get your pigs from? Petstores sell pigs that are the pet qualities of cavy breeders, and probably some sell unhealthy cavies to the petstore, or ones that can have lice, mites, be pregnant, etc.

They have all been in different cages for awhile now. And two of his daughters are going to there new home on the 19th of this month. And he is not neutered. I got him and his girl from two different pet stores. And I am a hobby breeder of just mice and guinea pigs right now, but I used to breed society finches and rats.

What was your point of breeding all these animals?
Hobby breeders=back yard breeders. And are what causes this overpopulation of ALL animals, including the MANY homeless rodents.

It was to see what colors I could get from my GP's but I do have a friend who wants some. And I am breeding my mice to get some more colors for a friend and for my hubby's snake. But at least I know when to stop breeding unlike others.

So you were breeding to see what colors would come out? That is VERY irresponsible. The ONLY reason to breed is to BETTER the animal, and health and temperment should be your NUMBER ONE! Not color...
Please stop breeding and ruining animals because you want "Pretty colors" rather than genetically sound and healthy animals.

Not to sound rude but I am going to do what I want. Even if it is for the colors that I can get out of my only pair.

What a great attitude you have. "I am going to do whatever I want, even if its irresponsible.".
People here don't respect people who do what you are doing. Breeding for colors, just because you can. Thats why there is an overpopulation.

I did not say that I am going to do whatever I want, even if its irresponsible. I said I am going to do what I want. Even if it is for the colors. But that does not make me a irresponsible person. As I have all ready stop a while ago and put them all in different cages, so there will be no more litters for the GP's.

Breeding to get cute colors in ANY animal is IRRESPONSIBLE.
You are IRRESPONSIBLE and have NO REASON breeding ANY animal...you are the type of person who is causing the overpopulation.

How distasteful. And Texas Rustlers still has over 170 homeless guinea pigs.

And that is out in Double Oak, TX north of Dallas, and I don't live any where near there. So you say what you want it's not going to hurt me. And I have already stopped any way.

Well hon, I know that since you know so much about the rescue, and how rescues work, that most rescues adopt statewide, and will travel hours to get pigs into good homes (like we do).

Hi Samantha,
Is your GP still available? I have been looking for a guinea pig around Seguin, New Braunfels and San Marcos areas to no avail.
