( yes i spend most of my money on achol ..what? dont look at me like that im 18 =) )
anyhow

got some chinnese hammys will post pics when i can!

just getting nervous about them escaping because i have a cage with like bars

im thinking about getting some cardboard and sticky tape and tapeing cardboard to the cage while they are young so they cant escape

would that be ok to do ?

think the lady in the shop told me to do sommin like that i was kinda excited about it so i dint fully listen :p

plus i gave them some ginny pig drops cuz i thought they were for hamsters to chill em out as we drove home i figured they would be getting freaked by the loud car

kinda worryed about that :p

anyhow guys

if ya could just help silence my worryies would be great

there jusst chillin in there cage i put a blanket over it to help them relax

any tips advice for chinnese hamsters would be lovely too

THANK YOU

DONT use sticky tape... they can chew it... would you eat glue coated plastic? try weavingh cardboard in the cage bars (it will get chewed) buit look at getting a bin cage... soon. you can make them for about a tenner.

i dont even know what ginny pig drops are but dont ever give an animal anything that isnt designed for it... btw... guinea pigs are about 10 times bigger than dwarves... what dosage did you give? call a vet and give them plenty of water.

Covering cages will get things chewed.

dont feed them any shop bought treats... they usually have too much suger... other than that... i keep syrians so not sure

post piccies x

you should take them out of the box or they might chew out. and you could lose them.

u think it would be ok to try and handle them yet? i mean they were really tame in the shop they dont seem that scared of me

i mean literally just put my hand out and see ifi can get them to climb on to it ?

well you can see if they will come to you. But being new its best not to mess with them to much for the first 24 hours. Just let them get use to their new home. But you can see if they will come to you. But i wouldnt do it to much :)

Are they getting along?? I have read that chinese hamsters are the most solitary among all the other breeds! But they are also the most friendly to humans! And i would love to sse your pics, not matter the quality!
