New Hamster!! :) nameless...

I just got my hamster like an hour ago, and hes so cute! Hes a short haired syrian male and is super energetic! While i was putting him in the cage, he jumped, and i mean LITERALLY jumped out of my hands and started running all over the place. Luckily, I caught him, although he jumped out of my hand every time, but i still got him in the cage. He is white, a little bit of black and brown. Too bad i cant get pics for another week, because i am afraid he'll run away, so i want to practice handling him. It was kinda funny, because i was watching him for like 15 mins, and all he did was run back and forth, climbing bars and then falling, and then getting straight back up and trying again. I cant tell hes going to keep me on my toes ;)

Lol no your not =P Trust me im worse. I always name my animals after food though, like my guinea pig Oreo. I was thinking Max, but Pumpkin does sound cute too. Ill wait till i get more suggestions then ill decide. Thanks <3

Lol! I just checked his cage and for the last like 20 mins hes been fiercly running on his wheel non stop. Its so adorable! My old hamster Sandy, was not nearly as active!

I know im being a little over worried, but is this normal? Hes been breathing really fast and his stomach is moving a whole bunch from his deep breaths. I know hes just breathing, and im being silly, but i want to be extra cautious. Is it just because he was running all over his cage yesterday?

he's so cute! how old is he? compared to him my new syrian looks like a ferret lol! how big is he? mines at 14cm when walking or standing (not stretched)!

Yeah, he is pretty big compared to my other hamster. Its probably because i went to petsmart instead of petco, and they sell a little bit older hamster like ...3-4 months, and petco sells them like 6 - 10 weeks. I dont know what his exact measurement... I think hes afraid of me because everytime i put my hand near him he jumps and starts running around like crazy....:confused: And yep he is nice and healthy, and he runs on his wheel like crazy! Hes pretty clever though, because he can touch the top of his cage, and once he almost pushed the top off with his nose because it wasnt secured really tight. I dont have a name! I think im going to crazy soon if i dont get one ;)
