I just got my two Dwarf Campbell’s Russian hamsters. :) I know they are young, but the people brought them to me and I couldn't resist. I have the two of them so they have a buddy. :) They are both females too. I'll check and be sure tomorrow when they are a bit more settled in. But they are doing great and are extremely adorable and so tiny. Boo is grey (Blue?) and Keke is white (Dilute oral plantinum?). I'll post pictures soon so you can help me confirm colours. I know they are young, please don't freak at me, but the people even drove them to me and wouldn't even accept any money for their troubles. Oh and I love how these two little hamsters already have such distinctive personalities. :) They also both just walked into my hand so I could transfer them into the cage.

aww the blue grey ones are so pretty! does keke have a stripe? im not so good at confirming the pale colours, as i dont really see the difference between the opals/white/platinum etc lol, but would love to see pics!
why did these people drop them off to you? why are you worried about people freaking out? how old are they? i got my youngest pair at 5 weeks old, one of them was the runt and just looked so cute and kittenish! she's all fed up and normal sized now :) i love how they have such obvious personalities!
congrats on your new hams!

I don't think she's a blue, I was told she would be a blue from people on a forum when I showed a picture to, but she's more of a brown grey. Keke does have a grey stripe as well as grey ears and a grey spot the top of her head. :) Pictures will come soon when I get some good ones. They dropped them off because otherwise I would have to take a bunch of buses to go get the hamsters from them. People already freaked out at me on another forum, that post was make for that one and I went and copied to for some other forums. :) They are almost 4 weeks old. I agree with the whole personality thing. Their personalities from the second I opened the box were so apparent and so different. :) I love it! Thank you! :)

i picked out a grey campbells from a litter (grey compared to the bown agouti siblings) but she turned brown in about 1 week. she was the lovliest ever, she would come and sit on me and climb my shoulder! i still feel guilty she died of a rectal prolapse at 8 weeks old :( sounds silly but i still miss her.
i still dont understand why people freaked? is it the age? it's a little young but they're weaned by then so...?
that was nice of them to drop them off :) public transport is no good for hams, i've spent a fortune on taxis from pet stores and to the vets lol! is worth it though!
keke sounds cute, cant wait for pics!

Aww... that's sad she died at such a young age. Yeah... dwarfs are weaned at about 3 weeks and people were freaking out that 3.5 was too young to get the hamsters. But the two hamsters seem fine and even climb onto my hand and have yet to nip. :) Yeah, I was extremely greatful they did drop them off, took them 15 minutes to drive here, would have taken me 1 hour and 20 minutes to bus there (on two buses with like 20 minutes of walking...) so yeah... really good they dropped them off. Picture soon. :P
