I just made a bin cage for my hamster (who still doesn't have a name!), and now I need help "stocking" it. I need to buy a wheel, and a water bottle that I can somehow attach or something. Now that he's got all of this room, though, I don't know what to do with it! He's got a house thing, a litter box, and a food dish right now. Petsmart is really limited on stuff for him because he's so big, and they seem to cater to dwarf hamsters. What does he need, and what would be fun for him?

Water bottle is very important, that should be bought ASAP. I'm sure you can get bottles that have a sucker attachment.
Silent spinners are great wheels as are wodent wheels.
What about a wooden bridge, wooden tunnel, wooden climbing frame, grass nest ball etc
I tend to use wooden, more natural products for my ham bams. I gave up on plastic stuff a long time ago, as if they chew plastic, it really isn't good for them:)
Good luck:)

I was able to rig up his water bottle yesterday, it has a hole in the top, so I drilled a small hole in the top of the lid of the cage, and installed a cup hook to hang the bottle from, so that saves me from buying a new bottle for the time being. He seems to like it, last night he was using it as a punching bag, lol. I'm going to give him some toilet rolls, and I'll be going out to get him a wheel and more toys later today. Thanks for the suggestions!

Also try carboard boxes, like a Cheese Nips box or something like that. Cut holes in random places, and maybe connect some toilet paper tubes to some holes. You just made a playground for you hammie for FREE!
Enjoy your new friend! :)

That's a great idea! I do it for my girls and scatter hamster food all around the place, and it is like treasure hunt for them!

Yeah! Me too! They seem to love hunting for their treats. I guess its the "wild" in them ;)
