Does anyone on here know much about feline hip dysplacia? The vet thinks Zorro might have it, and I'm so worried. We won't know for sure until I can save up the money to get his ex-rays(probably in two weeks), but I want to find out as much as I can about it.
I know its common in dogs, but is it really that common in cats as well. I heard somewhere that in felines, they can develop hip dysplacia at as young as 6-8 monthes.
Zorro's 1 1/2 years old, so he's in that range. I'm just so worried.
If he does have it, is there a way to make him feel better? No way could I afford the surgery(at least not right away. I would try to save up the money though)
Can you give cats glycosamine and stuff to help or is that just for dogs?
Sorry for so many questions. His vet doesn't come back until friday and I'm just so worried about him.
