Hey guys, I haven't been on in a while, so I just wanted to see everybody's cages or new cages somebody might have gotten! Here's a picture of my female, Faline's, bin:

Any pictures would be appreciated! Thanks! :)

p.s.,
If your wondering where her wheel is, she gave birth to 2 gorgeous babies about a week ago (I'm keeping them). I wanted to try to get some pictures, but I didn't want to stress her out. Fortunately, it didn't freak her out a bit, she's a great mom and as soon as they are old enough, I am going to post pictures of the babies. :)

in the second pic, do you have a rotastak room in the corner? i was thinking of using one of mine filled wit sawdust to let the dwarfs dig around to their hearts content! am doing up cages today, so pics later!
congrats on babies! are you going to have some little colonies? so cute!

Actually, its the bottom part of a lookout tower. I put it upsidedown and created a little cave type thing. Faline seems to like to hide her "stash" of treats down there. :)

That would be a cool idea too, to make it into sort of a dust bowl. Can't wait for pics! :)

OK! so some people are probably sick of seeing these, but I up-graded the Hams from rotastack to these some time after xmas. We made our own shelving as the shelves they came with were rubbish!

All four of our Hams have got the same house, just slightly varied contents, but mostly the same!
Hope you like them:)

Omigosh, if I was a hamster, I would so want to live at your house!! Those are the coolest cages! I know what you mean about the shelving in some cages, my step-dad helped me build a new ferret cage with whole new shelving because the one we bought from PetSmart was destryed in a matter of days. Flimsy plastic :rolls eyes:, won't make that mistake again!

Anyways, awesome cages, love them! :)

aww thanks! it was surprisingly easy to fit the mesh actually, the hard part was cutting the lids with a 99p box cutter without splitting them!
im hoping for a boy ww if i get one :) they're sapphires, although inbred as i understand. but then im not a breeder, just want cute little pet hams!
my boyfriend objects to more hams, but he doesnt object one bit to rescue hams, he's such a sweety!

I know what you mean, attaching the wire safely and not making a complete mess of the lid was the hardest part. But it looks like you did an awesome job, those cages look neat! :)

I hope you get to rescue the WW, I know it would have a good home if you did!

aww thanks :) my flatmates were impressed, i think they think that as im more of a girly girl i dont know how to use a box cutter!
hope i get the ww too, i've read they can be a lot more vocal than the other hams, which would be adorable! i loved that when i had degus they were often chirping at each other, so cute! i even have 1 piece of mesh left over already cut to size for the lid of his currently non-existent cage!
and thanks for the good home compliment, it's nice to actually be good at something :)

I've just checked this post again, as I've been busy over the weekend,as The World Pilot Gig Championships are held here and I've been out and about.
Thanks for your comments about our Ham Bams housing, they really are happy little hams:)
I LOVE what you've done with your bin cage lid pink, it looks great! Amazing what can be done with some zip ties and a bit of imagination:)

lol yes it's true! of course i've had lots of practice cutting holes in the sides of boxes to attach lots with tubes, so i managed not to crack the lid at all, which i was proud of!
so thanks :)
