Thats good.... I just got all 5 pups vaccinated today! What a task that was :p Buddy and Trixy are up next. I'm worried about Trixy since she gets car sick pretty bad.

How old are the pups now? (they are for sure old enough for vacs, I'm just wondering how old they are).

They were born December 11th.. so almost 6 months old.. wow.. that sounds so odd!

Awe, 10 days after we signed Skip's adoption papers! It in no way seems like he's been mine for that long. He's been with me for almost 9 months now (including the time he was my foster)!

Are any of the pups female? If they aren't fixed and are female they will be going into heat soon. :(

oh wow.. really?? thats crazy.. they're the smallest of the group.. I JUST had to break up a fight though.. the smallest (Champagne) was on top of the biggest boy (Haus).. but they're best friends & best enemies sometimes. Its odd.

Trixy is in heat right now, like my other thread said.. & I noticed the girls humping the boys, but no blood or swelling right now.... I saw Trixy humping the puppies, so they just might think they taught them a new game. heh.

That is just because they are trying to figure out a pecking order. But yes, bitches go into heat at 6-7 months. Sometimess a few months later for small breeds. Males can breed at just about any age, tipically if they are humping they can mate. Not that they should but they can.

They haven't figured out their sexual ability yet.. thank God.

I'll watch the girls mount the boys, and the boys get scared and start to run with the girls still on their backs! I try to separate them ASAP... since it terrifies and confuses the boys and dangerous for the girls, but sometimes I can't run quick enough.

The boy's... uhh... penis (?? don't know the correct term!) pops out when I rub their stomach, but they still don't know about mating yet... The other night, "little bud" was staring at it and kept tilting his head wondering what it was. haha. I wish I got that recorded, but then I'd look odd for having it filmed.

Trixy went in to heat at 11 months old I think. I hope these girls are the same... but with the two checks I just got, I'm putting some aside in a bank account after Buddy gets neutered, and Trixy gets spayed... since there has been no real interest in anyone adopting them..... and paying for their vaccines/surgery/parasite preventions :(

I've got a lot of hate for charging for that... which is stupid. the only reason they tell me they would not pay me for the puppy is because "they're mutts". Wtf... so what? People will pay stupid amounts for a pure breed that has NO vaccines or anything done to them... but 100 dollars total for THE FULL PACKAGE for a "mutt" makes them wanna take my flyer and send a nasty little e-mail to me??? whatever....
