i've got two roddy cages, both of which have solid wheels that are from moulded plastic which i really like... but they've started squeaking. i'm thinking a dab of vegetable oil... any thoughts or better suggestions?

Those wheels SUCK! I had one of those with a Rody Savic cage and it's the squeakiest thing I have ever heard. Only solution is to replace them really, I couldn't stand it, lol!

I had a silent spinners and they always broke. Something with the ball thing inside the wheel. When my wheels squeek I put baby oil on them. I've also used butter or margarine. Fixes them right up.

Ha, I just get used to it! Right now, I have 2 wheels going in my room. At first it was annoying, but then I got to the point where I couldn't sleep without the noise!!
If you can't get used to it, baby oil seems to do it!
Good luck!
