I heard Buddy howling away outdoors.... I went to check the front door, as I'm having some "freecyclers" come by to pick up stuff.

I hear odd screaming and barking... I look across the street (further than just the house in front of me)... and see these two kids..

They're playing with a dog out doors... that obviously has a shock collar on (running back when out of bounds, and the owner told me when I was chasing Sissy down once).

What do I hear one kid say?

"HOLD HIM DOWN HOLD HIM DOWN HAHAHAHAHAH!"

I gasp as I see the poor dog being held down out of bounds, receiving shock after shock....

I yell various expletives to tell them to stop & how sick they are, and that they're going to jail ASAP.... they run towards me and run up my road into their homes...

(and no, the cops said they weren't coming out until the owner calls and complains).

I'm so mad I could explode.

OMGosh, thats SO horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't STAND people like that, I just can't understand why they like to torture animals!!!!!!!!! :mad: Is the owner going to report them?

Oh my gosh!!! Some kid has to be very messed up in the head to do something like that! Ha, why don't we try putting the shock collar on him and seem how HE likes it. I just don't get people like that! That pisses me off so much...It seems like the police or local animal shelter/SPCA would be able to do something to those kids without the owners consent. Does the owner know they were doing this?

That seems very odd. If the dog was receiving shocks, the kids would be too if they were holding him down.

So.. they were doing this to another persons dog? It would be angering even if it was their dog, but the fact that it is some one else's dog somehow makes it a lot worse.. I mean.. Both situations are absolutely disgusting.. but I am trying to imagine if I let my dogs out like that and some kid did that to them.. Argh. Sometimes I really hate people..

Also, how old were the kids? Maybe try talking to the parents?

Buy a paintball gun and shoot paintballs at them and see how they like it! But seriously, trying calling the ASPCA like others said, and keep calling the police until they get off their stubborn butts and listen! That's animal cruelty! Poor thing! :(

It is said that most murderers torture animals at a young age. These little SOBs are looking at a very comfortable life, no?

If it were me, with what I have on hand, I'd have taken my six foot drop lash whip to them. Mmm, sneak up behind them and wrap the line around thier legs. (my sister's and I used to have whip wars. It doesn't do TOO much damage, but it sure stings like heck.) I WILL take a riding whip to my nephew if I ever catch him doing something like that. And THEN tell his mother.

Too bad you are old enough to be arrested for assault. What you could have done, especially if you had a camera phone, video them and send it to the local news channel. My news stations would jump all over that.

O..m...g. WTF?!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously. That is so ridiculous. Where do you live?! Its not like that matters, because crazy people are everywhere. I am sorry you had to see that. Try to call the police or someone the dog warden or something and tell them what you saw!!!!!! err!!! to think that people would actually do that.

Our animal protection society is the same thing as our humane society... which opens at 7am, and closes at 8am.

The kids looked to be around 8 and 11 years old.

The kid that ran down the road in front of me was shaking his hand... so maybe he did get a shock himself??

I haven't seen the owners out lately, but when I do I'm telling them someone did this while their dog was out... They won't object to using a dog collar (well, maybe they will after this)... because the other day I was sitting on my porch while Sissy was on a chain... She saw that dog chase a bunny & get shocked, then run back... then Sissy starting her beagle alert that a bunny was around.

but I mean... I've mentioned how kids thought it was cool their chow is vicious and attacked Buddy.. and they yell gross sexually explicit stuff when I walk Sissy a lot..

...and yes, I wish I was young enough to not get arrested for beating their faces in. lol.
