Marigold Swordtails

I have a pair of Marigold Swordtails and the female is pregnant. My question is: how can I tell when she is about ready to give birth?

Some female livebearers (such as you mollie) have a gravid spot near the base of their tails. The gravid spot allows you to see the developing embroy inside. It's easier to see if you hold up a light to her other side.
It usually gets darker when she is about to give birth.
Obviously she should look bloated as well.

How big is the tank?

You should get another female to prevent incest if you are going to keep the fry.

She does look very dark and seems to be getting a little darker. The tank is a 10 gallon but I wasn't planning on keeping the fry. Maybe I will keep one but I will give others to friends. Thank you for your help!
