..well my son has shown he's capable of caring properly for LongFin (the betta).

It's my son's birthday tomorrow, so i bought him a bit larger tank (holds 18.5L). I got blue gravel for it *L* so he no longer has to put up with the pink, and a shipwreck as a decoration.

I've got to drop by the store and pick up a heater for it this afternoon. He's going to be so excited *L*.

Once its set up, i'll take some pics....

Yep pics to come.....we set it up last night. Just letting it run for 24hrs to make sure the heater is not faulty....dont wanna put LongFin in and cook/freeze him

With the light on...the blue gravel sorta glows...looks excellent.

My son absolutely loves it!

I got some pics of my sons tank set up. Unfortunately LongFin is ill, (not eating, just floating near the surface), so while he is in confinement and being treated, D'Argo has moved in temporarily while LongFin hopefully recovers.

I'll not feed him for a few days...i think he may have a tummy ache of sorts. He has no signs of disease at all....so it must be either internal or just plain old age...poor baby

Update:

LongFin has now fully recovered. D'Argo is doing ok also.

They will be switching homes soon. Hopefully they cope with the change

Awwww, I am glad your son's fish is doing great now. Its tough when they lose a pet.
