I decided to euthanize my Betta, Smokey with clove oil and vodka, just as Nikki did with Bate, as I woke up this morning and he was white as opposed to his striking dark blue with red fins. He was laying on the bottom of his bowl with occasional gill movement, and I couldn't bare to watch him like that, antisipating death.
He is now gone. Though I wish I would have taken notice of his state of body sooner, I am happy that I helped him pass peacefully.
My ex picked him out... he was the coolest fish. He loved fire. My little pyro Betta. He loved being pet, too. I can't imagine how strange that sounds, but if you would put your finger in the water, he'd come up and rub on it, similar to what cats do.
I miss you little buddy. :( It saddens me that I will not see the attitude on your face whenever I enter the kitchen.
You were one hell of a fish. RIP.
