Hi everyone, I have a 6 month old male poosh puppy. By the way he is getting neutered in a few days. I am having such a hard time potty training him. See I work long hours but I am very lucky my mother watches him for me and she has a dog also so he has company all day long. But now I am off for the next 2 weeks and I am realizing what a problem his potty habits are. He seems to go where he wants, when I take him outside he will go but never gives me signals that he has to go out. We even have a dog door that he uses to go into the house but he wont just go out and go potty. I am getting so frustrated it is unreal. I just want him potty trained already, I contacted Bark Busters but they want $600 that seems rediculous to me to pay. Please if you have any advice I would appreciate it, now I am trying to take him out every hour to go potty. He is about 13 lbs.

Monitor his food and water intake. And 20-30 mins after he eats or drinks any water take him outside.

Also at around 8pm do not offer anymore food/water.

If you get him on a feeding schedule this will also help so you will know exactly when he has to go outside.

When he does go pee outside praise him like crazy and offer him a treat.

What is a poosh??

Buddy will hold his for hours... Sometimes I wonder why he didn't "let me know" when hes standing there on 3 legs for what seems like minutes.

Trixy does a panic walk when she has to go out.

Sissy goes back and forth through the whole house, then finally barks if that fails.

The pups are in crates at night. Being thats where they sleep... they will not pee/poop in it. They have been in a crate since 2 months old... it took them a while to learn they'll sleep with poop if they go, but they get it now.

Dante doesn't give me any signs when he needs to go out. Actually just last week he stood up and proceeded to pee in his dog bed right next to where I was sitting. He didn't give me a single sign which really does get frustrating but because he doesn't let me know I make sure to let him out at least every 2 hours and he usually does just fine. It was actually surprising that he urinated in his dog bed, he has never done it before.

Zoe will start panting and pacing around. She will also come up to me and put her head on my lap. I also take her out every 2 hours along with Dante. But she will hold it forever, she is one of those dogs that will not pee/poo in the house for anything.

I am assuming a poosh puppy is a poodle/Shit Zu mix?

I thought they'd be Poozus, but it's possible.
