Baby hamster update

The babies are now two weeks old today! They are the cutest little things. There are officially 2 out of 14 left :(. I lost ALL the homes..Everyone changed their mind. They were either two impatient and got a different pet, or they changed their mind entirely. Which means who knows when they would have gotten tired of them. Luckily I do have two extra cages, so looks like they are here to stay.

And I sexed them, and they are 2 boys! (I will of course double check that later on). A yellow black, and a yellow black banded (I thought both were black).

Their adorable! lt's too bad that most of them died, but in a twisted way l guess it's better than them having bad homes.

l would definitely take one off your hands, but since l don't live too close to you.....l don't think it's possible. :D

Oh, and l don't mean to pry, but l was wonding how old you were because you have an awful lot of pets and l don't think my dad would ever let me have that many (my mom prob. would tho...). lol, jw. :)

so cute.. It's amazing that only knowing them for 2 weeks how sad we when they die...I know we had baby hamster and it was SO sad when the last one died. The pet store sold us two female dwarf hammies hehehe NOT (1 female and 1 male)

No names yet..still deciding! I told everyone how I found out she was with the male when she gave birth, so she COULD be pregnant again right? She doesn't look fat or anything, but I know that doesn't mean anything. Shes a good mommy to these two! And they are so hand tamed lol. I stick my hand in the cage, and they run over and crawl in it..and take pieces of food out of my hand. The bigger boy had his cheeks stuffed earlier today, he looked so cute!

To the person who asked, I am 18. And I do live with my mom, but she doesn't really complain about my small pets, as long as I keep their cages clean and my room cleaned (Which I do).

awww only 2 little hammies left...I'm so sorry mel. I guess its good but I know if you had to you would have kept them all. Your such a good hammy mommy...heck your a good animal mommy lol. They are precious little babies.

Another update:
About a week ago, momma hamster was in her run about ball, and got out of it! I still have no found her. I have searched absolutely everywhere imaginable, and my cats wouldn't have eaten her whole (And no little hamster carcasses). Not even a bad smell coming from anywhere, which leads me to believe she is still alive. There is always hamster/rat/etc food on my floor that has been knocked out from cages, and I have water bowls in numerous locations, so I think she is alive and eating that. I am going to go buy a humane trap and try and catch her.

The two babies are doing fine. I have been feeding them KMR mixed with oatmeal twice a day,and they drink out of the water bottle and eat dry food. They have gotten so big, here are some updated pictures:
