View Full Version : New hams, fire issue!!

After losing my popple, I got two new hamsters about a month ago. Popple was a syrian, but I opted for two russian campbell dwarfs. They are darling boys, named Peter the Great and Ivan the Terrible.

The thing is, I live in San Diego county, and while I'm okay and not too close to the fires right now, there is a lot of smoke. Our house is all closed up, but you can still smell it. My hams smell it and are freaking out a bit because they want to run from it I think, but of course can't, and don't understand that they are okay. I try talking to them softly to calm them down and giving them a treat but that doesn't seem to do a whole lot. Any ideas on what to do for them? :confused:

How does steph not get banned? All she does is go topic to topic and spam. I've seen better users get banned for sillier things.

Anyway...animals in general seem to think smoke is like creepy mist that is going to eat their soul. :p

I don't really think there's anything you can do about it but wait it out. Maybe put a fan up next to a window in the room facing outwards? That way it blows it out of the room.
