After losing my popple, I got two new hamsters about a month ago. Popple was a syrian, but I opted for two russian campbell dwarfs. They are darling boys, named Peter the Great and Ivan the Terrible.

The thing is, I live in San Diego county, and while I'm okay and not too close to the fires right now, there is a lot of smoke. Our house is all closed up, but you can still smell it. My hams smell it and are freaking out a bit because they want to run from it I think, but of course can't, and don't understand that they are okay. I try talking to them softly to calm them down and giving them a treat but that doesn't seem to do a whole lot. Any ideas on what to do for them?
