where mel lives its illegal to have gerbils. She got April and her sister from a rescue. So she cant just go to a pet store or rescue and pick up a baby gerbil to intro. I wish there was a way because gerbils get depressed so easily. But there is no way unless there is a rescue near her that has them illegally or something.

I know I think thats stupid. Why make gerbils illegal but rats, mice and hamsters are ok....that makes no sense to me. Unless I am just totally missing something lol.

I had two female gerbils. One was killed, and now shes alone. I live in California, and I can't get in contact with the person I got her from. Therefore, she is stuck alone. She doesn't seem to mind..She used to pick on June.

I wish they were not illegal.
