But i said no hes a chinese,he has the rat like body. Although he has no tail as they should. He has a lil stump though where one should be. So maybe it get ripped off by cage mates. Whatchas think? Hes a chinese hammy right? Lol. Anywho, on with the pics. Enjoy.

Okay thats it for now lol. Ill get more another day haha.I dunno why he looks so dark, unless it just looks that way to me. I thought i fixed em on photoshop, maybe i uploaded the wrong copies. Oh well. Good nuff i guess. I called around bout chinese hams see if any pet stores had them,as i never notice them at the stores before. course i wasnt looking for one either. So anyways two petsmarts have em,one sells em for 1499 other one said 1999. Geesh expensive lil hams. Spend 30 to 40 bucks just on two hams, not mention a cage. Could be almost 100 bucks on trip. Ouchie. Lol. Considering that, would they be good in a bin cage? I know some hams are chewers so i dunno. Your thoughts? OK thanks everyone. Ttyl!

I have my dwarf hamster in a bin cage, he doesn't even try to chew out. Hes a lazy old man anyway, spends his days sleeping and eating..never runs on his wheel anymore, and when I put him in the hamster ball he just sits there grooming himself.

Very cute hammies!

You're right... the first hammie isn't a robo, it's a chinese. :) Robo's are the tiniest of the dwarves, and their bodies are definitely not that long. You can delight in tell your sister she's wrong. :p

...and about bin cages...

My hams have always done well in bin cages, dwarves and syrians alike. However, my syrian could jump out of her bin cage, despite it being incredibly tall. So, you will most likely need a lid. I really preferred having the open cages, and I kept the open bin for the dwarves, but Autumn was a stubborn little bugger so I finally had to put a lid on hers. Just don't forget about airholes! :)

What I do for lids:
Cut off most of the middle part of the lid (Just leaving the part that connects to the bin). Get a piece of wire mesh, and use screws to attach it. Makes the lid very sturdy, and adds plenty of ventilation.

Yeah that isn't a Robo :p Robo's are much smaller. My avatar is of my three Robo's, they are very distinct looking.

Bin cages are great and I've never had a "Chewed" escape. I doubt they can even chew through a bin cage as it's thick plastic and I'm sure it would take them a long time to chew through it, so you'd notice their chewing spots before they can even chew through it :p

So go down to your local Target, Walmart, or whatever and pick yourself up a $10 plastic bin. They're cheap, just make sure they are roomy and not short(as in height).

who told you you weren't supposed to use them? They are FANTASTIC for letting your hammy(s) out of their cages.

Isn't true that they are only not so good for rats and ferrets?

Thanks everyone! Yah hammy balls are great. When they know how to use them haha! Caramel doesnt seem to get it, he just sits there. Rambo moved a wee bit. Lol. Yah the balls are only good for hammies i think. Do gerbils use them? Mice? I dunno. Maybe theyd chew thru it i. Never had those type of rodents. Ah well.

If thats what you mean, then you are still wrong ;). "hamster" balls, of course in a larger size, are fine for rats..but us rat lover much prefer free range in a room, where they can actually explore.

Hamster balls are really only bad for guinea pigs. As are wheels.
