I really love syrians. The one in the first picture looks very much like my girl Autumn, who I actually just lost a few months ago. I miss my hams so much. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that our local shelters don't have any or that there haven't been any "accidental litters" around where people have just been giving them away to whomever, but I still miss having them around. I don't think my boyfriend would let me take in anymore, anyway.

I have had Syrian hamsters my entire life!! My mom had them when I was a baby and we continued raising Syrians, her mainly being the caretaker until I was 11 and I got my own Syrian, a longhaired golden named Sergeant Squeak! I loved that hamster!! When he died after 3 years of my care, I got my first rat, Little Jeff who I adopted from the SPCA. And then it all started lol.
And I don't ever see myself without Syrians, they are wonderful!

where do ya live that they don't have hamsters?
I love robo's myself, I haven't had a syrian in yeeaaars. I do miss that connection though that you get with syrians. They're little loving fuzz balls :p

Hi,
I haven't posted in yonks, but I love your hams, I love the fact that you actually have 2 living together, I'm guessing they must be litter mates??
One of our rescues Guinness is sadly dying, he still just about eating, but I really think if he is still with us tomorrow I'm going to have to take him to the vet and put him in a better place, I hate making these decisions but I know it's right. Anyway just wanted to share with a fellow hammie lover:-(

I got them from an elderly man who couldn't care for them anymore. He is patient at the nursing home my mom work's at, and they let him take them there with him (No pets are allowed, but they made an exception). He was getting pretty forgetful, and my mom had mentioned that I rescue rodents, and he asked her if I could take them. He said they have been together for over a year, and he got them as babies. I didn't want to separate them because they don't fight AT ALL, no scuffles..they sleep together. They are SO cute together! I have had luck before with females being able to live together successfully (littermates)
One of my rats is dying. Hes over 2, got him and his siblings from a rodent rescue..His brothers and sisters have already passed one (His brothers within the last two months), I will be having him euthanized probably before December at the pace hes going. :(.

Their cages are kl.
I am glad you are getting a new cage [from the one you hate] because, though I hate to say it, hate it too.
;)
Anyway I am wondering if that Rusted Wheel still works? It doesn't look really great lol.

Trying to play me at my own game I see ;).
The wheel does work. It just needs a new paint job. But I would rather just buy a new wheel.

I'm not, no. Just I had one like that ages ago, rusted quick, and didn't work. So I was just "wondering" if you had the same problem. :-o
Why do we always have to fight?
I was annoyed with you, every message ( I post ), turned into a fight.. but it is me too..
So, yah, I'd rather just stop.
You can continue.
But I am going to ignore all offensive comments;)

I was being offensive? My comment was just a random comment...and actually I was trying to be funny in a way that was not rude to you. ;)

...then why even bring it up on this thread if it's not an issue, Rat?
