Well we got Smokey neutered yesterday. I was surprised that they did not stitch him up. The vet said they leave it open. But he has ear mites. I am gonna buy some ivermectin this weekend for the pigs, just in case. Even though the cat is not exposed to the pigs, just as a precaution. Smokey will also need to have another surgery. It is scheduled for Dec. 10th, but we may change that, depending upon how things are with him. He has a dislocated hip that cant be placed back in. We are having the head of the femur removed. It is gonna cost us 650.00. He is in no pain. The vet said right now he is not in pain, they even moved his legs like a sling shot and he just looked at us like we were crazy, he did not yipe or anything. We will be getting it done, just we are deciding Dec or Jan....
Anyways, we are treating him for ear mites with tresaderm and he got another shot of ivermectin for his scabies..
He also seems to be doing better with us. he loves to cuddle with us on the couch and he thinks are arms are mouses when we move them...lol...nice to be king of the world....
